A cup of soup is full of healthy nutrients, and is compatible with a moving urban lifestyle. You can take the soup with you while you are out for shopping, working in the garden or at work.

One good thing about homemade soups is that when you prepare it by yourself, just know what's in and what's not in. Concerned about health? Preparing your own homemade creations is the best way to proceed, as long as you make sure to use fresh ingredients.

Many ingredient can be used in soups. Do you like a clear broth with some vegetables and sliced chicken? Do you prefer a smooth and creamy zucchini soup? In fact a lot of conventional dishes leftovers can be turned into soup.

Use of spices and condiments! They will spice up you soup. Just add some pepper, cumin and a bit of fresh cilantro leaves to flavor your bland soup up. Think about curry, flavored salt, grated parmesan, fresh or dried thyme to perfume your soups.

And what about adding pasta or rice to thicken a liquid soup? Put some pasta in the soup and you'll get a good intake of glucid.

For keeping soup, you can freeze it, as it is a good and safe solution.To freeze a soup, prepare it as usual. Just be carefull not to fill up the containers, to allow the liquid to increase in volume during freezing. It's better to heat frozen soups by using a double boiler.
